Kjerringøy Land Art Biennale and Cacis, El Forn de la Calç
The 10th anniversary Kjerringøy Land Art Biennale (K-LAB) is collaborating with Cacis, El Forn de la Calç in Catalonia. The program involves creating site-specific works using only local natural materials found on site. Artists must participate in both the Norwegian and Spanish residencies. In Norway, artists will work at Kjerringøy for 5 weeks, creating works for a guided Art Walk. In Spain, artists will participate in the Efímera Festival at the Cacis geological park for 3 weeks, creating a work of art or performance and a video presentation.
Each artist receives a fee of 30,000 NOK for the stay in Norway and 2,500 € for the stay in Spain. Travel and accommodation are provided for both locations.
Applicants must live in either Spain or a Nordic country (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands). Artists must be available for both periods: August 16 – September 19, 2027 (Norway) and October 4 – October 25, 2027 (Spain). Works must be made from local, natural materials.
