14th Organ Vida: Happy Spiraling

About the Open Call

The 14th Organ Vida Festival invites artists to submit works under the theme 'Happy Spiraling'. The call is looking for projects that address the current state of digital culture where images are disposable and sensations are fleeting. It seeks artists who meaningfully hijack the system, practice 'de-slopping', or offer a 'mental cleanse' through slowness and unlearning. The festival focuses on contemporary expanded photography and image-based practices, including those that cross into sound, sculpture, or performance. Selected works will be part of the main curated exhibition in June 2026.

What is Offered

Selected artists receive a net fee of 300 EUR, coverage for shipping and production costs, participation in the main festival exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and 2 nights of accommodation.

Requirements

Open to artists worldwide working with image-based practices. Projects must be finished and ready for public presentation by the exhibition opening in mid-June 2026.

Submit your artwork via the Picter platform. Submissions should include at least one project with up to 25 photographs, images, sketches, or video links.
