About the Open Call

TERAVARNA announces their '15th ABSTRACT' International Juried Art Competition. Artists with a keen eye for originality are encouraged to put their most compelling pieces on the unifying topic of abstraction to this unique occasion. The abstract art competition is open to contributions in a wide variety of creative disciplines, including but not limited to traditional media such as painting and sculpture, new media such as digital art, painting, fiber art, photography, graphic design, and mixed media, and even experimental and installation art. All are welcome to this celebration of the boundless possibilities of abstract art. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION: The international juried art competition hosted by TERAVARNA revolves around the theme of ABSTRACT. Artists are free to interpret and represent the theme in their unique way. Both figurative and abstract ideas related to the overall theme will be considered. Artists can submit their artworks in any media or artistic form. Participants must be at least 18 to participate. CATEGORY: All types of visual arts will be considered for the abstract art competition 2025, including but not limited to Painting & Mixed Media, Photography & Digital, and Sculpture & 3D Installation. AWARDS & PRIZES: Up to $3,500 in cash prizes will be given out to winning artists. The grant money will be unrestricted. Prizes include First Prize Award ($300-$500), Runner-Up Prize Award ($150-$350), Merit Prize Award ($75-$250), Talent Prize Award ($25-$150), Honorable Mention Award, and Finalist Award. Professionally designed Certificates of Recognition will also be awarded. The final prize amount depends on the total number of entries. Cash prizes are distributed via PayPal. TERAVARNA presents a platform for abstract art contests, enabling artists to showcase their work to a digital audience and gain admiration. Entries will be judged by respected professionals for insightful feedback. Winning submissions can earn cash prizes, art materials, solo shows, or collaborations with well-known artists. TERAVARNA also offers instructional courses, masterclasses, and networking opportunities, connecting artists with art lovers, buyers, exhibition owners, and experts globally.

Requirements

Artists must be at least 18 years old. Artworks must be abstract or figurative ideas related to abstraction, submitted in any media or artistic form. Submission files must be JPEG or JPG, under 5MB (preferably under 2MB), cleanly cropped, and in sharp focus. AI-generated artworks are not accepted.

How to Apply

To apply: 1. Choose the number of artworks to submit. 2. Click on the chosen option and proceed to make a non-refundable payment via PayPal or credit card ($15 per artwork). 3. After successful payment, you will be redirected to a page to upload images and other details. For issues, email info@teravarna.com. Image submission guidelines: Only JPEG/JPG files accepted, less than 2MB (max 5MB), cleanly cropped showing only artwork, sharp focus. AI-generated artworks are not accepted.
