About the Open Call

The PleinAir Salon is hosting its 15th Annual Art Competition, inviting artists worldwide to submit their work for a chance to win substantial cash prizes totaling over $50,000. The competition is open to all artists, not exclusively plein air painters, and aims to recognize outstanding artistic talent across various mediums. Both monthly and annual awards are presented, with the highly coveted Grand Prize winner receiving $15,000 and the prestigious opportunity to be featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine.

What is Offered

Total of $50,000 in cash prizes. Monthly awards include $600 for First Place Overall, $400 for Second Place, $300 for Third Place, and $50 for each category. Annual awards include $15,000 for First Place Overall plus the cover of PleinAir Magazine, $3,000 for Second Place, $2,000 for Third Place, $750 for Honorable Mentions (3), $450 for Best Medium (6), and $300 for the Artist’s Choice Award.

Requirements

The competition is open to all artists, not limited to plein air painters.

How to Apply

Artists can enter their artwork via the ShowSubmit platform, accessible through the 'ENTER NOW' links on the PleinAir Salon website. An early bird discount of 25% is available for entries submitted by November 15th.
