About the Open Call

The 4th edition of BAROQUE BLUE returns in September 2025, produced by Primo Piano LivinGallery and curated by Dores Sacquegna. This contemporary art residency, titled 'THE PATH OF SYMBOLS – IV edition of Baroque Blue SeArt Residency 2025: Water Path: On the trail of Great Mother', invites international artists to be inspired and creatively influenced by the social and landscape fabric of Salento, Italy. The program runs from September 20 to October 04, 2025. Artists will be in residency at a private villa in Torre dell’Orso marina, where they will be provided with housing (fully stocked, with air conditioning, close to the sea), guided tours and excursions, materials to work with, and meals, workshops and much more. The residency offers the opportunity to interact with local artists and observe the creative process live, engaging the public with contemporary art in a fascinating summer context. Salento’s rich legends and turquoise waters encourage artists to explore creative boundaries and unleash their potential, fostering lasting friendships and memories within an artistic community. The works created will be presented to the public during a final ceremony.

What is Offered

Requirements

International artists are invited to be inspired and contaminated by the social and landscape fabric of Salento. The program welcomes both international and local artists to live these experiences in a community setting.
