About the Open Call

A4 Residency Art Center invites applications for its 2027-2028 international residency program. The residency supports interdisciplinary practice, community engagement, and cross-cultural dialogue through two tracks: the fully funded International Residency Fellowship and the self-funded 'Light Version'. Residents benefit from studio space, networking opportunities, and institutional support in the context of Chengdu's evolving landscape.

What is Offered

For Fellowship: Private workspace and living quarters, round-trip travel support, RMB 10,000 production grant, networking, media exposure, and presentation opportunities. For Light Version: Private workspace and living quarters, access to A4 platform and facilities, media promotion, and networking.

Requirements

Applicants must provide a resume, portfolio, and detailed project proposal. Projects must demonstrate potential for local community engagement or cross-disciplinary collaboration. All materials must be in English and Chinese.
