About the Open Call

The fellowship provides a residency, artist stipend, and exhibition opportunity for NYC-based BIPOC artists creating work at the intersection of nature, culture, and place. The program includes the Winter Workspace residency and an outdoor group exhibition. A separate Van Lier Fellowship is available for emerging artists 30 or younger from underrepresented communities.

Requirements

Must be a NYC resident, identify as BIPOC, and be in the early stages of their career. Students, artists with commercial gallery representation, and past Wave Hill/AnkhLave fellows are ineligible.
