The KDays Artist in Residence program aims to showcase local talent through temporary art installations. The residency runs from January to July 2027, culminating in the KDays fair. The project focuses on themes of local identity, community, and storytelling, with opportunities for audience interaction. The total budget is $50,000 CAD, split between an artist fee ($25,000) and production costs ($25,000). Applicants must be based in Alberta and identify as emerging or mid-career artists. Collectives are eligible to apply.
Artist fee of $25,000 CAD plus $25,000 CAD project budget, mentorship, access to site resources, and visibility to over 700,000 attendees.
Applicants must be individuals or collectives based in Alberta who self-identify as emerging or mid-career visual artists. Experience working with large public audiences is considered an asset. Artists from equity-deserving communities are encouraged to apply.
