Oolite Arts
The residency is designed for emerging South Florida filmmakers (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, or Monroe counties) developing their first narrative feature film. The program offers $50,000 in direct funding, rental camera packages, mentorship, 24/7 studio space, housing stipend, and professional development tools. Projects must be at least 80% filmed in South Florida and require a minimum of 30 pages of a draft at the time of application.

Applicants must be age 21+, not enrolled in a degree-granting academic program in 2027, full-time residents of South Florida, U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, and first-time feature filmmakers with at least one completed short film in a key creative role. Project must be a narrative feature of 70+ mins with at least 80% production in South Florida.
