About the Open Call

Vashon Artist Residency is a residency program for artists of all disciplines. Selection is based on commitment to practice, work quality, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative community. Residents are expected to be self-directed, with no specific requirements for productivity or public presentation. The program utilizes a sliding-scale fee structure and is need-blind in its selection process.

What is Offered

Residency space for up to seven artists per cohort, including access to workspaces.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not enrolled in a full-time, matriculated degree program. Collaborations require individual applications from each member. One reference is required.
