About the Open Call

This call for art seeks works that explore and extend the definition of art beyond the limits of reality, focusing on abstract and surrealistic perceptions. Abstract art provides freedom in expressing feelings, ideas, and concepts through colors, shapes, lines, and textures, allowing for deep personal interpretations. Surrealism challenges reality by using realistic forms in unexpected combinations, exploring dreamlike worlds and the subconscious mind. Artists are invited to share their unique visions within these themes. Accepted mediums are broad, including acrylic, oil, clay, bronze, ceramic, charcoal, pencil, gold, silver, computer art, digital art, gouache, airbrush, mixed media, illustration, pastel, pen and ink, alcohol ink, graphite, glass art, fiber art, and color pencil. Video art and AI art are not accepted. Artworks should not include any form of violence, hatred, or age-restricted content, nor offend religions.

What is Offered

Benefits for selected artists include: a certificate of participation, an artist profile page on the Stanisonne Art Gallery website (stanisonneartgallery.com/yourartistname) where website URL and social media profiles can be shared, social media badges for sharing, inclusion in the online 3D virtual exhibition, promotion on the gallery's website and social media, and the possibility of being chosen as one of '6 selected artworks' featured on the homepage.

Requirements

Artists can submit between 1 to 10 artworks. The art style and medium are free, with the exception of video art and AI art. Accepted file formats are JPG/JPEG, maximum 2MB in size, minimum 600px, with clear footage and no watermarks. Artist statement (max 300 words) and biography (max 300 words) are optional. Artworks must not include violence, hatred, content offending religions, or any age-restricted content.

How to Apply

Apply for free by filling out the online application form. A one-time selection fee of 36€ is required only after being selected and notified via email.
