About the Open Call

The International Meeting of Naïve Artists Trebnje is an annual gathering held since 1968. Self-taught visual artists are invited to apply for the 59th edition to create artworks in the gallery spaces. Selected participants receive accommodation, meals, and travel reimbursement. At the end of the event, a professional jury awards a grand prize and the opportunity for a solo exhibition. Participants are required to donate at least one artwork created during the meeting to the gallery's permanent collection.

What is Offered

Free accommodation and meals, reimbursement of travel expenses based on original receipts, basic art materials, a €2,000 gross financial award for the winner, and a future solo exhibition.

Requirements

Applicants must be self-taught visual (naïve) artists. Preference is given to those who have not previously participated. Artists must arrive by June 9, 2026, and donate at least one artwork created during the event.

How to Apply

Artists must complete the online application form and provide personal information, a short biography, documentation of past projects, 4–5 photos of original artworks, and links to active websites.
