6x6 - The International Small Art Phenomenon

About the Open Call

6x6 brings together thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, youth and others. Each artist may enter up to four artworks of any medium (2D or 3D). Artworks must be exactly six inches square and signed only on the back, to be exhibited anonymously. The first 6000 artworks received will be exhibited in the gallery and online; others will be online only. This year includes an optional Flower City theme in partnership with the City of Rochester.

What is Offered

In-gallery and online exhibition, artwork sales opportunity, and participation in an international community-wide celebration.

Requirements

Artworks must be exactly 6x6 inches (15x15cm) and can be in any medium (2D or 3D). Each artist can submit a maximum of four entries. All works must be donated and signed only on the back to maintain anonymity during the sale.

How to Apply

Artists must download the entry form and submit up to four 6x6 inch artworks. Entries can be walked in to the Rochester Contemporary Art Center or mailed. International mail-in entries are due by April 1, 2026, while U.S. mail-in entries must be sent by April 7. Walk-in entries are accepted through April 4, 2026.
