About the Open Call
Oddball Art Labs presents 8 Bit Life. We are challenging the Elgin and Chicagoland creative community to share their visions of video game inspired art. This is a lighthearted and fun all-ages show. All submissions must be human-made; no AI-generated art will be accepted. Artwork must be ready to hang or display. Oddball Art Labs retains 20% commission on all sales.
What is Offered
Exhibition opportunity at the Robin and Mark Seigle Gallery, with an opening reception on June 12, 2026, and a closing reception on July 11, 2026.
Requirements
Artists must be local to the Elgin/Chicagoland area to handle in-person drop-off/pickup, or willing to cover shipping costs. Artwork must be ready to hang (framed, D-hooks/wire). No AI art permitted. Family-friendly/all-ages content required.
How to Apply
Apply online via the submission form on the Oddball Art Labs website. Submissions require personal details, artwork information, and a $10 fee for up to five pieces.
