8th Annual Primary Colors Art Competition 2026

About the Open Call

The competition encourages artists to creatively explore colour relationships, symbolism, abstraction, mood, and composition using the theme of primary colours as a conceptual or visual foundation. Both representational and abstract works are accepted, and artists may interpret the theme freely across a wide range of contemporary visual art practices. The exhibition and awards programme aims to support emerging and established artists internationally by increasing visibility through curated online exhibitions, social media promotion, and inclusion in Light Space & Time’s international artist network. Winning artists receive recognition in multiple award categories, including Best in Show and merit awards.

Requirements

The competition is open to artists worldwide, regardless of experience level. Eligible submissions include 2D and 3D artworks created in any visual medium, including painting, photography, digital art, sculpture, mixed media, fibre art, and printmaking. Artists may submit multiple entries, with entry fees varying according to the number of works submitted. All artwork must relate to the theme of primary colours. Selected works will be displayed in the online exhibition hosted by the gallery.
