About the Open Call

SlowArt Productions presents the annual group exhibition, A Show of Heads. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery from October 9 - November 1, 2025. Open to all artists working in any media, this exhibition will include all interpretations and portrayals of the Human Head, from the traditional to the abstract and conceptual. All visions of the head, including partial and multiple heads, will be considered. The exhibition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art, video, etc. are eligible. Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition at the Limner Gallery, October 9 - November 1, 2025. The exhibition will also be displayed on the Limner Gallery web site and social media pages. Works in the show may be exhibited for sale or not for sale. The gallery will take a 35 percent commission on all sales. Sale price is determined by the artist. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than August 31, 2025. Results will be posted on or before this date at: http://www.slowart.com/results. Notification will be made via email and by posting on the results page. Artists personal contact information is only held for the purpose of contacting the selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data, contact information and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. The deadline is July 31, 2025. Entries must be postmarked or submitted via email by this date.

What is Offered

Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition at the Limner Gallery from October 9 - November 1, 2025. The exhibition will also be displayed on the Limner Gallery web site and social media pages. Works in the show may be exhibited for sale, with the gallery taking a 35 percent commission on sales.

Requirements

The exhibition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 72 inches nor wider than 120 inches. Sculptural work must fit through a 36-inch wide entry door.

How to Apply

Applications are submitted by digital JPG image files. A $35.00 entry fee covers one to four artworks. There is a $5.00 fee for each additional artwork above four. Payments can be made by credit card using PayPal, or by check or money order payable to SlowArt Productions. Artists working with video may apply by providing a link to the video posted on Vimeo, YouTube or any online video viewing platform. Entries must be postmarked or submitted via email by July 31, 2025. Email entry link is provided.
