The Ebell of Los Angeles
The Ebell of Los Angeles invites Southern California artists to submit work for 'A Woman’s Place: Framing the Future.' This exhibition envisions a woman’s place as an ever-expanding horizon that redefines the trajectory of our collective future. The call is open to 2D fine arts visual media addressing this theme. Selected works will be displayed in the historic Art Salon and adjacent hallway. All submitted work must be install-ready, wired or with D-rings, and must not exceed 24” x 36” including the frame. Jurors include Dominique Clayton, Heidi Johnson, and Shana Nys Dambrot.
Prizes include: 1st place ($200 and a 1-year Ebell membership), 2nd place ($150 BLICK gift certificate and membership), and 3rd place ($100 Pizzeria Mozza gift certificate and membership). Sales proceeds are split 65% to the artist and 35% commission to The Ebell.
Open to artists age 18 and older residing in Southern California counties (Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Diego, Imperial). Works must be 2D only, maximum size 24" x 36" (including frame), available for sale, and hand-delivered.
Applications must be submitted through the CaFE (Call for Entry) website. Artists can submit up to 3 images of 2D artwork, along with a brief artist bio and résumé formatted as a single document not exceeding 5,000 characters. A non-refundable application fee of $25 is required.
