The AAPI Emerging Artist Fellowship is an artist-led program designed to support early-career AAPI artists and cultural workers at a pivotal stage in their journey. Cycle 3 invites artists to engage with themes of karma and the erotic as a means of disrupting systems that sever feeling from knowledge. Key themes include familial/digital karma, erotic power, diasporic spirituality, and the body as an archive. The program includes monthly virtual cohort sessions and a group exhibition.

Applicants must be 18+ years of age, identify as Asian American, Pacific Islander, and/or Native Hawaiian, and be in the early stages of creative development (not more than 10 years of experience). Candidates cannot be enrolled in a degree-seeking program during the fellowship and must attend all monthly development sessions and a weeklong exhibition process in San Diego.
