About the Open Call
We invite photographers to submit work exploring the theme of abandonment — the physical, emotional, environmental, social, or symbolic. We are seeking images that examine absence, decay, isolation, memory, transition, and what remains after people, systems, or places have been left behind. Both traditional and contemporary approaches are encouraged, including analog, digital, and alternative processes. Documentary, conceptual, fine art, experimental, and mixed approaches are all welcome.
What is Offered
Selected works will be featured in an exhibition at A Photographers Place from July 8, 2026 – July 31, 2026.
Requirements
Digital photographic image files (color or black and white), minimum of 3000 pixels on the longest side. Up to 5 images per artist. JPEG file format only.
