About the Open Call

The .abeceda [New Music Academy] III is a composition program running from November 2026 to June 2027. It enables composers to develop and premiere one new work for solo, string quartet, chamber ensemble, symphonic orchestra, or choir. The program includes two online seminars, 5 days of intensive rehearsals, and an on-site residency in Bled, culminating in world premieres at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week. The program offers various thematic modules ranging from new works to AI applications, music theatre, and sonic arts.

What is Offered

Professional realization and premiere of a new musical work, professional audio and video documentation of performances, and participation in international research modules.

Requirements

Composers must select one instrumentation option and one programme module to develop their project.
