About the Open Call

The Aberlleiniog Sculpture Trail is an annual event that brings together artists, naturalists, and the community. The 2026 call invites creative responses to the natural habitat, shared history, and unique features of the common spaces in and around Llangoed. The event includes general installations as well as two specific commissions with micro-residencies focused on geology and local ecology. The trail is part of the Anglesey Open Studios event.

What is Offered

Financial support for materials is tiered for 29 projects (£50 to £400). Two special commissions include a £650 production fund and a micro-residency. Organizers provide a bilingual map, small signs for works, and documentary video/photography.

Requirements

Open to artists, makers, poets, historians, and nature lovers. Proposals can be for individual or collaborative projects including sculptures, sound installations, guided walks, or performances that connect to the specific natural and historical context of the site.

How to Apply

Interested participants must submit their proposals via Google Forms by midnight on January 20, 2026. Specific forms are available for the General Open Call, the GeoMôn Geopark Commission, and the Red Squirrels Trust Commission.
