Pattern Club
Alpaca Festival is an event focused on Algorithmic Patterns in the Creative Arts. Proposals are invited for live performances, workshops, and conference talks that explore procedures for making, material behaviours, and pattern-making culture. The 2027 edition emphasizes making languages and notations for patterns. Submissions must be human-authored; generative AI-focused submissions are not the priority. Conference talks will be peer-reviewed and published with open access.
Performances and workshops receive national travel expenses and an artist fee. Conference speakers receive a free festival ticket and lunch during talk days.
Submissions must be human-authored and focus on human expression. Conference abstracts must be 1-2 pages maximum. Performance and workshop proposals require descriptions, technical requirements, and bios.
Submit proposals via the online form at https://calls.alpaca.cc/2027/cfp.
