AMADEUS Festival International Design Competition 2025/2026

About the Open Call

AMADEUS Festival Vienna’s fourth International Design Contest, AMADEUS Festival International Design Competition 2025/2026, will award the best design of a poster promoting AMADEUS Festival Vienna for the year 2026. We welcome and value a variety of creative approaches and artistic points of view. The theme of this year’s competition is Metamorphosis. Submitted work must be original and unpublished, not previously awarded or pending resolution in other competitions. Participants guarantee authorship and originality. To avoid shipping costs, participants must submit their designs and all other requested information electronically through a Google form. The application period officially opens on Friday, 04 July 2025, at 00:00 Austrian Time. Posters must adhere to guidelines including submission in pdf format with a Google Drive link to the open file in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva. The design must be adjusted to A1 size (84.1 x 59.4 cm, 7016x9963 pixels, 300 dpi) in CMYK and RGB color space, vertical (portrait) orientation. It must include the date of the 2026 Festival (25-28.06.2026) and the Festival logo. PDF files must be titled with the author’s last name, first name, and poster title.

What is Offered

The best design, as evaluated by the Professional Jury, will receive 500 EUR. The design that achieves the greatest impact on social networks will receive 50 EUR. The organization will also award three special mentions with a diploma. Prize amounts will be paid by bank transfer, and diplomas will be sent in digital format.

Requirements

Participants of any nationality between the ages of 16 and 30 are eligible. Participants with any level of experience (amateur or professional) are eligible. Submissions must be individual; collaborative or collective works are not permitted. Each participant may present a maximum of one (1) design. Fully AI-generated works will not be accepted. Posters must be submitted in PDF format with a Google Drive link to the open file (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva). The poster design must be adjusted to A1 size (84.1 x 59.4 cm), 7016x9963 pixels, 300 dpi. Color space must be CMYK and RGB. Orientation must be vertical (portrait) only. The design must include the date of the 2026 Festival (25-28.06.2026) and the provided Festival logo. PDF files must be titled as LAST NAME_FIRST NAME_POSTERTITLE.
