About the Open Call

The American Art Awards is an international art competition inviting painters, photographers, sculptors, and digital artists from all countries to submit their work. The application fee is $29.95 USD per submission, with discounted rates for multiple entries. Winners receive a share of $5,000 in cash prizes among 6 artists, significant press exposure through international press releases to 597 publications and articles posted to hundreds of Facebook art groups (over 300 artists receive press). Winning art images and artist contact information are also featured on the American Art Awards website and in a YouTube movie. While not guaranteed, there is a possibility of direct contact from galleries or collectors interested in representation or purchasing art. Submissions are made by emailing art images and details (name, country, website, title, size, mediums) to amerartawards@aol.com after payment. Results are typically communicated within 6 weeks. Previously winning artworks in the same contest are not eligible for re-entry, and artists are limited to a maximum of 4 cash prizes across all three contests.

Open to painters, photographers, sculptors, and digital artists from all countries. Artwork previously awarded in the same contest cannot be re-entered. Artists cannot win more than 4 cash prizes total across the three contests.

How to Apply

Pay the submission fee online or directly via PayPal to amerartawards@aol.com. After payment, email your art image(s) to amerartawards@aol.com including your name (ALL CAPS), country (ALL CAPS), website (if applicable), email, title of artwork (in quotes, each word capitalized), size, and mediums used. If no category is selected, the artwork will be placed where it has the best chance.
