ANIMAL International Juried Art Competition

About the Open Call

TERAVARNA announces their '12th ANIMAL' International Juried Art Competition. All visual artists from around the world are invited to submit their best artworks on the theme for inclusion in the exhibition. All types of art styles may be submitted, including both 2D and 3D works, painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, graphic, mixed media, as well as experimental and installation works. The theme is ANIMAL, encompassing any animal, fictional, mythological, or imagined creatures. Artists must be 18 years of age to participate. Up to $3,500 in cash prizes will be given out to winning artists, ranging from $25-$500 for various awards (First Prize, Runner-Up, Merit, Talent, Honorable Mention, Finalist). Certificates of Recognition will also be awarded. The competition runs with entries closing on September 30, 2025. Winners will be notified starting October 5, 2025, and cash prizes distributed from October 21, 2025. A worldwide digital exhibition of winning artworks will run from October 6 to October 29, 2025. TERAVARNA provides an international platform for artists to showcase their talent, gain exposure, and connect with buyers and collectors. Entry fee is $15 per artwork.

What is Offered

Up to $3,500 in cash prizes will be given out to winning artists. First Prize Award | $300-$500, Runner-Up Prize Award | $150-$350, Merit Prize Award | $75-$250, Talent Prize Award | $25-$150, Honorable Mention Award, Finalist Award. Professionally designed Certificates of Recognition. Exposure on an internationally-renowned digital art gallery. Opportunity to gain followers, admirers, and find buyers/art collectors.

Requirements

All visual artists from around the world are invited to submit. Must be 18 years of age. Artwork must be on the theme of ANIMAL, including any animal, fictional, mythological, or imagined creatures. All types of visual arts, including 2D and 3D works, painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, graphic, mixed media, experimental, and installation works are accepted. Submission guidelines for images: JPEG or JPG files only, less than 2MB preferred (up to 5MB max), cleanly cropped showing only artwork, sharp focus.

How to Apply

STEP 1: Choose the number of artworks you'd like to submit from one of the options below. STEP 2: Click on the number of artworks and proceed to make a payment. You can pay by PayPal or via credit card. STEP 3: After successful payment, you'll be redirected to a page where you can upload your images and other details.
