About the Open Call

The Ann Arbor Film Festival (AAFF) is dedicated to showcasing moving image art that extends beyond traditional screen-based formats, including experimental films, documentaries, and animation. As an Academy Award-qualifying festival in the Short Films category, it supports filmmakers through over $39,500 in cash and in-kind awards. The festival presents work on 16mm, 35mm, and digital formats and engages communities through its traveling film festival tour and year-round screenings.

Requirements
