About the Open Call

Liberation Studios is an artist-run gallery and studio project. The founding cohort-based shared studio program is designed for those interested in equity-centered, socially engaged practice, providing access to space, tools, and professional programming. The model operates on a non-extractive, break-even basis, requiring participants to contribute to the evolving environment through dialogue, critique, and collective care of the space.

What is Offered

Participants receive access to semi-private studio bays, shared fabrication tools, weekly/biweekly programming, and opportunities for curatorial and digital residencies.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter agreements, and demonstrate a willingness to participate in a shared, collective studio environment. Submission requires 5-15 files of work.

How to Apply

Applications are submitted through the EntryThingy portal by creating an account and completing the application form which assesses practice, intent, and alignment with the shared studio model.
