About the Open Call
The 19th edition of Archivio Aperto Festival, held under the title Upside Down / Sottosopra, focuses on found-footage, documentary, and experimental films that engage with archival materials and family memory. The festival features two competitive sections: an International Competition for films of any length, and an Open Frame Competition for films under 30 minutes produced in academic or workshop settings.
What is Offered
Selected films compete for cash prizes including €2,500 for Best Feature and €1,000 for Best Short/Mid-Length, plus potential awards for the Open Frame section.
Requirements
Films must have had their first screening after 1 January 2025. Entries must focus on memory and archive through the re-use of images.
