České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028 and Ars Electronica
Ars Biologica is a living laboratory exploring ecological futures. This residency invites artists to collaborate with the Institute of Soil Biology and Biogeochemistry and the Department of Aquatic Microbial Ecology. The program spans from January 2027 to April 2028, culminating in a presentation at the Ars Biologica Festival. Selected artists receive 24,000 EUR total funding, including an artist fee and production budget.
24,000 EUR total funding (6,000 EUR fee, up to 15,000 EUR production, up to 3,000 EUR travel/accommodation).
Minimum 5 years of professional creative practice; age 18+; eligible to work and travel in the EU; experience in interdisciplinary and community-based work.
