About the Open Call

This is the final in a series of residency programs on the road to Japan. With a maximum group of 12, the experience includes nature immersion, museum visits, and shared studio/house time. It is designed for artists who want to photograph, draw, paint, journal, and doodle while exploring Japan. The itinerary covers Tokyo, Nagano, Hakuba, Matsumoto, and Kofu. Program fee includes 13 nights of accommodations, entry fees to planned museums, train fare for transport between locations, and group logistics planning.

What is Offered

13 nights of accommodation, group transportation via train, and guided access to museums and cultural sites.

Requirements

Must be able to carry and lift own luggage (carry-on size recommended), navigate stairs and varied terrain, and be comfortable with shared living spaces. Participants must be willing to participate in a group interview.
