Art & Style Dance School Olga Galiatsatou
The "ART TANGO" World Meeting, organized by Art & Style Dance School Olga Galiatsatou in collaboration with the Ionion Center for the Arts & Culture, is a six-day event (July 20th-26th, 2024) celebrating Tango on the Greek Island of Kefalonia. It targets Maestros, Tango Dancers, Instrumentalists, DJs, Choreographers, Photographers, Videographers, Dance Schools, and anyone involved in or passionate about Tango from all art fields. The program features a unique variety of dance techniques, rhythms, and cultural experiences, set against the island’s summer atmosphere and Ionian Sea breeze. Activities include music, poetry, art exhibitions, cultural tours, and magical Tango nights. Venues include the Art & Style Dance School headquarters, the Ionion Center for the Arts & Culture (amphitheater and exhibition hall), and municipal venues. The program is conducted in English, but all languages are welcome. The inviting professionals are dance teachers and choreographers Olga Galiatsatou and Panagiotis Voulgaris, formally recognized by I.S.T.D, I.D.T.A, and C.I.D, and invited as international adjudicators by W.D.C.
The program offers: official supporting documentation for funding and visa applications, the best accommodation and professional support conditions for participation, grant eligibility from the Ionion Center programs, opportunities for scheduling a personal event in a specific field, documentation-invitations and certificates of participation, global promotion, and inclusion in an edition. Awards include a 7-day residency at the Ionion Center for the top Master’s couple (selected by the Jury) and for selected Musicians/Instrumentalists/DJs, along with a personal concert for the latter beyond the Tango events.
