About the Open Call

SlowArt Productions presents the group thematic exhibition, Arte Natura. This exhibition will focus on art inspired by the natural world and will be held at the Limner Gallery from May 14 - June 6, 2026. Eligible are all art forms relating to, or gaining inspiration from the world of nature. Landscapes, skyscapes, flowers, vegetables, fruits and animals are all eligible. The human figure is permitted only as a part of the natural environment. All artist interpretations of the natural world from the realist to the abstract and conceptual will be reviewed and considered. The competition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art, video, collage, digital collage, etc. are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 72" no wider than 96". Sculptural work must fit through a standard height, 36"wide entry door. Winning artists will be featured in a group exhibition at the Limner Gallery, May 14 - June 6, 2026. The exhibition will also be displayed on the Limner Gallery web site and social media pages. Works may be exhibited as for sale, or not for sale. The gallery will take a 35 percent commission on all sales. Sale price is determined by the artist. Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Limner Gallery rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Limner Gallery and/or SlowArt retain no copyrights to artists work. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than March 31, 2026 by posting the results on http://www.slowart.com/results/index.htm and via email. Artist contact information is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. All artist emails will be added to our future events announcement email list, with unsubscribe options available. The deadline is February 28, 2026. Entries must be postmarked or submitted via email by this date.

What is Offered

Artists selected to exhibit will be featured in a group exhibition at the Limner Gallery and displayed on the Limner Gallery website and social media pages. Opportunity for art sales with a 35% gallery commission.

How to Apply

Entries are via email with attached individual JPG format image files (approx. 2500 pixels or less on the longest side). Images may also be posted to a dedicated web page or Google Images page with a link provided. Video artists may post on a web page or YouTube and provide a link. Payments are accepted by credit card via PayPal, Venmo, or Apple Pay at time of entry. Fee payment by check or money order is available by request. Additional artworks above four incur a $5.00 fee each. Details of 2D artwork count as an additional artwork. Sculptors may provide one additional view per artwork without cost.
