ARTICA
ARTICA encourages artists to develop ambitious, experimental projects that activate outdoor environments and connect with the local community. The festival welcomes proposals across multiple creative disciplines, with a focus on participation, collaboration, and innovative approaches to public art. Artists may apply for project funding through a juried proposal process. Selected projects receive financial support, while artists not selected for funding are still encouraged to participate and contribute to the festival. ARTICA maintains an inclusive approach, supporting creative expression regardless of funding status. Funded proposals are evaluated by an independent community jury based on their ability to: Engage and involve the community Encourage audience participation and interaction Respond to the history, culture, and environment of the site, including the Mississippi River Demonstrate experimentation and originality Present a strong and thoughtful artistic design
