Artist Commons
Artist Commons is a year-long online program for early- and mid-career visual artists seeking to advance their practice. The program consists of four ten-week quarters running from January to December 2026. Participants are placed in cohorts of 8-10 peers and paired with a mentor for weekly feedback sessions, one-on-one crits, and portfolio reviews. The curriculum includes weekly lectures on craft, the business of art, and art history, alongside presentations from guest speakers and visiting artists. The program requires a commitment of 5-6 hours per week.
Mentorship, cohort-based feedback, one-on-one crits, weekly lectures, portfolio reviews, community network, and guest artist presentations. Full and partial scholarships are available.
Open to early- and mid-career visual artists from all disciplines. Must be able to commit to 5-6 hours per week and pay tuition (founding member price of $1,850 for the year).
Applications open in early November. Interested artists can sign up for the email newsletter on the website to be notified when the application portal opens.
