Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity
The Audio Recording Engineer program is a continuing education experience for emerging engineers with mature artistic insight and advanced skills. Participants engage in mentoring, class sessions, and professional practice, learning recording and post-production techniques on various equipment while supporting the Banff Musicians In Residence 2027 program. Successful applicants benefit from working with international faculty, recording diverse musical genres, and accessing professionally equipped studio spaces.
Includes mentorship from international faculty, studio space access, professional recording experience, single bedroom accommodation, and a $68/day credit-based meal plan. Scholarships are available.
Applicants must be 18+ and possess a combination of formal training and/or professional experience in audio engineering. Working knowledge of ProTools and Pyramix is desirable. Must have strong time management, diplomacy, and communication skills. Programs are instructed in English.
