About the Open Call
The Barbara Spohr Memorial Award provides financial and creative assistance to a mid-career Canadian artist. The residency offers 24/7 access to the Crich Studio with private black and white analogue darkroom facilities, facilitated access to digital print production, technical support, a meal plan, and $1,000 CAD in material support. The program is self-directed and requires full-time participation from January 18, 2027 to February 12, 2027.
What is Offered
Fully funded residency including accommodation, meal plan, $1,000 CAD materials allowance, and travel bursary.
Requirements
Mid-career Canadian artist (citizen or permanent resident) with a strong body of work and 8-15 years of professional experience, minimum of ten professional exhibitions.
