BFI Doc Society
The BFI Doc Society Expanded Screen Fund supports ambitious, screen-based works of non-fiction intended to reach audiences beyond cinemas, including immersive festival showcases, cultural exhibition spaces or platforms. Eligible projects can use technologies like VR, AR, MR, and 360-degree experiences. Projects must meet at least three of the BFI National Lottery strategy aims, including equity/diversity, impact/audience, talent development, creative risk, UK-wide accessibility, or environmental sustainability.
Funding between £25,000 and £150,000 for the development and production of immersive non-fiction projects.
Producers with a track record in successfully delivering immersive work. Projects must be non-fiction and grounded in real events, locations, situations, or narratives.
