About the Open Call
Biografilm is an international cinematic event dedicated to life stories and quality cinema. The festival promotes growth, development, and inclusivity through cinematic language. The 22nd edition accepts national and international films for various sections including International Competition, Biografilm Italia, Contemporary Lives, Beyond Fiction, Art & Music, and Biografilm Teen. Selected films must be Italian premieres and at least 50 minutes in length.
What is Offered
Awards include Best Film Award, Hera Nuovi Talenti Award, Best Film BPER Award, and various audience awards. The Arci Ucca Award includes a 1000 EUR distribution prize.
Requirements
Films must have a running time of 50 minutes or longer, be completed after January 1, 2025, and have not been screened or released in Italy (Italian Premiere). All non-English or non-Italian dialogue films must include English subtitles.

Submissions must be made through the Festhome online portal at https://festhome.com/festival/biografilm-festival. Applicants must provide a screener link and pay the required submission fee.
