About the Open Call

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the open call for SECRET SPACES, second appointment of BORDERS ART FAIR 2025, that will take place in Venice at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello from June 26 to July 10, 2025, and in other prestigious venues and historical buildings, during the same period of the 19th Venice Biennale of Architecture. The last edition of BORDERS took place in Venice in 2023, presenting a great selection of more than 500 artworks realised by 250 artists from 40 countries. The 2025 edition will provide artists and exhibitors with the unique opportunity to present their works to an international audience of professionals as curators, gallerists, collectors, editors and publishers who seek to acquire, publish and encourage the best contemporary art talents. Since 2001, ITSLIQUID Group has organized over 350 international events, engaging more than 10,000 artists across over 60 global venues. The concept of SECRET SPACES explores the hybridization among art, culture, physical and social identities in contemporary times, by providing an immersive experience inside the complex labyrinths of our consciousness: the human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality, a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression. By breaking down traditional boundaries between body and space, individual and collective, artists explore and create new hybrid spaces that challenge their own identity to discover new facets of themselves and push beyond the traditional notions of self and identity. BORDERS ART FAIR consists of 3 main events: HYBRID IDENTITIES (May/June), SECRET SPACES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES. This call is for SECRET SPACES from June 26 to July 10, 2025, at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello. Deadline for applications is June 13, 2025 (11.59 PM your local time).

What is Offered

Exhibition space managed by art professionals, assistance with customs formalities, international shipping and local transport, assistance in finding accommodation, design and printing of invitation cards/posters, global and local press office/publicity/press/banners/totem, realization of exhibition website and dedicated press releases, mounting and dismounting of the exhibition, exhibition opening event with drinks and food, and a printed catalogue including all participants.

Requirements

Artists, photographers, video makers, and performers are invited to submit their works. Participation is open to artists, architects and designers, associate groups and studios. The number of works you can submit is unlimited. Participation in the art show requires an entry fee only for selected artworks.
