ASSITEJ Finland
The Bravo! International Performing Arts Festival for Young Audiences in the Helsinki metropolitan area is seeking proposals for workshops and art education programmes. These can be tailored for children, young people, families, or for a professional programme, or a combination of both. The festival is open to new ideas for creating art with, for, and by children and youth, including workshops, lectures, flash mobs, interventions in public spaces, and art activism for youth. Suggestions for audience engagement activities like discussions or writing projects are also welcome. The festival will take place from 14–22 March 2026, with a Nordic-Baltic Focus. The festival aims to bring joy and meaningful experiences through a wide range of performing arts, including theatre, circus, dance, and movement-based theatre, presented in cultural centres and public spaces.
Workshop fees, travel, and accommodation will be covered by ASSITEJ Finland.
Applicants must be performing arts professionals or art educators from the Nordic-Baltic region, working in the field of performing arts for children and young audiences. Proposals should be for workshops, lectures, flash mobs, interventions in public spaces, art activism for youth, or other art education programmes.
Proposals must be sent no later than 26 September 2025. Applicants are asked to provide their name, organization (optional) and country of residence, e-mail, phone number, program offering (children/youth/families, professionals, or both), a description of the activity (target group, main idea, duration, capacity), a fee estimate, travel details (number of people, itinerary), previous experience and background, links to web pages/social media, and any other relevant information (access needs, space/technical requirements, materials). Applicants also need to state their availability during the festival period (14-22 March 2026).
