About the Open Call

The third edition of BRÜCKEREI focuses on improvisation as a mode of creation and performance. Mentored by Thomas Hauert, the process emphasizes collective research, compositional tools, and real-time decision-making. The program brings together professional artists and amateurs. It includes an informal public showing on July 18, 2026. The residency seeks 3 choreographers (local, national, international), 12 Swiss-based professional dancers, and 12 local residents from Canton Zürich.

What is Offered

Mentorship under Thomas Hauert, collective research experience, access to compositional tools, and a public platform for sharing research sketches.

Requirements

Availability for the full period from 06–18 July 2026; comfort with improvisation; willingness to collaborate with diverse groups. Professional dancers must be Swiss-based with professional training. Local residents must reside in Canton Zürich.
