About the Open Call

Brooklyn to Gangnam Magazine is an analog and digital hybrid publication for work that crosses genres and disciplines, specifically convening the Asian-American community and allies with the visual art and literary worlds. For Volume 2, the magazine seeks visual artists for a 60+ page printed book. Every selected artist receives a two-page spread. The magazine is distributed in key art districts like Chelsea and Tribeca in Manhattan.

What is Offered

Each selected artist receives a 2-page spread in the premium print magazine, a free physical copy via shipping, and digital distribution on Issuu.

Requirements

Artists must provide a bio, CV, artist statement, and 1-10 images with an accompanying image list (title, year, medium, dimensions).

How to Apply

Submit a bio, CV, artist statement, social media/website links, image list, and 1-10 images via the Subfolios portal. A $3 application fee is required, followed by a $50 participation fee if accepted.
