Art radionica Lazareti, Lidice Art Collection – Lidice Memorial, and Pro Progressione
The European Solidarity Residency (ESR) invites early-career curators and cultural professionals from Creative Europe countries to a fully funded 30-day residency. Hosted by Art radionica Lazareti (Croatia), Lidice Art Collection – Lidice Memorial (Czechia), and Pro Progressione (Hungary), the program aims to employ solidarity in art for societal transformation, promoting diversity, the green agenda, equality, and inclusivity. Participants will engage in knowledge exchange, workshops, talks with local artists and professionals, mentoring sessions with experienced curators, and peer discussions. The residency focuses on enhancing professional development and fostering engagement with local communities. ESR is open to 20 residents selected in two periods (2025 and 2026) and is funded by the European Union. All applicants receive free ESR Commons Membership, providing exclusive access to online materials, including Mentor's Talks, live online sessions, Q&As, and a growing library of resources.
Selected participants will receive a fully funded 30-day residency, which includes coworking space/office facilities (with internet and printer access), accommodation for the duration, a fee of 1,500.00 EUR (paid in installments), full research access to partner organizations and their mentors, regular progress meetings and feedback, opportunity to develop ideas in unique environments, and online mentoring with ESR experts. All applicants, regardless of selection, receive free ESR Commons Membership with access to online materials, talks, and Q&As.
The opportunity is open to early-career curators and cultural professionals, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, who are residing in Creative Europe countries. Applicants should be able to commit to a 30-day physical residency across the specified locations.
To apply, candidates must become an ESR Commons Member (Free), complete the online application form, and submit a CV/resume along with a personal statement (max. 500 words) outlining their interest and how the residency will benefit their professional practice. Optional submission of a portfolio of past curatorial projects is also accepted. Applicants can also send equivalent application materials in audio and video form.
