Lei Pua ʻAla Foundation
The selected artwork will be a permanent mural or installation reflecting the long arc of community history honored by the memorial, focusing on themes of HIV/AIDS, resilience, and Hawaiʻi's multicultural identity. The project calls for a visually engaging design that evokes pride, joy, and hope. The selected artist will receive $3,000 to finalize and prepare the design for fabrication and installation.
Up to 4 semi-finalists will receive $500 each; the selected artist receives a $3,000 fee.
5-7 images of work samples. Must be able to deliver digital designs or suitable durable outdoor materials for a 15.5-foot long surface.
