Call for Artists: CICA Young Korean Artists Solo Show Series Spring 2026

About the Open Call

CICA Museum invites Korean and Korean diaspora artists worldwide, as well as international artists residing in Korea, to participate in the Young Korean Artists Show Spring 2026, including a publication and interviews. Each selected artist will have a solo exhibition for one week (Wednesday–Sunday) in the gallery space (approximately 44m²) at the CICA Museum. The artists will be featured in the e-book series “CICA Art Now,” available via Amazon. A printed version will be available by order. Additionally, artists may optionally participate in an online session, the recording of which will be shared on social media. Categories include Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Installation Art, Performance, Video & New Media Art, and Design. The submission deadline is November 24, 2025. Exhibition schedules will be arranged between November 25 and December 10, 2025, with the show series running from January to June 2026. The expected publication date of CICA Art Now 2026 is August 1, 2026. Dates are subject to change. We look forward to the participation of creative artists.

What is Offered

Solo exhibition for one week in the gallery space, inclusion in the e-book series 'CICA Art Now,' optional online session, social media sharing of recording, print version of book available by order.

Requirements

Artists must be Korean, Korean diaspora, or international artists residing in Korea. Selected artists are responsible for paying a project processing fee, and for the installation, shipment, and delivery of their work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. Submission materials include up to 10 JPG/PDF images (100-500KB recommended per image) and/or up to 3 direct links to video/web/interactive art, artist statement, and bio. Text documents should be in DOC, TXT, or PDF format. No ZIP or HWP files are accepted. Large files should be shared via Google Drive or Dropbox links; WeTransfer or similar services with expiration dates are not accepted.

How to Apply

Please send up to 10 JPG (100-500 kilobytes per image recommended) portfolio images and/or up to 3 direct links to video/web/interactive art, your artist statement, and bio. Email them to 'submission@cicamuseum.com.' Preferred formats for text are DOC, TXT, or PDF. We do not accept ZIP or HWP files. If your file size exceeds the email attachment limit, please share via Google Drive or Dropbox. We do not accept WeTransfer and similar services with expiration dates for downloading. Please write 'Submission: Young Korean Artists Solo Show Spring 2026 – Artist’s Name' in the subject line of your email.
