Call for Artists: the International Exhibition “Text-ure 2026”

About the Open Call

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the International Exhibition, “Text-ure 2026.” We are open to photography, 2D digital art, video art, interactive art, drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, and installation art dealing with subjects on text, context, texture, and tactility. The categories include: Painting, Drawing, and Print; Sculpture & Installation Art; Photograph & 2D Digital Art; Video & Interactive Art. For Photographs & 2D Digital Art, selected works will be printed in 10×15 inches, framed, and installed by our curators & assistants. If requested by the artist, works can be printed and framed in larger sizes, though additional fees may apply. For Video & Interactive Art, we will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. If the work requires exclusive screening through a projector, or more than two projectors/monitors, artists should indicate this in their submission email, as additional fees may apply. For Painting, Sculpture, & Installation Art, the artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of their physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. Two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and installation pieces should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). Works that need to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding these size/weight limits. Exhibition Dates: July 8 – 26, 2026 (dates are subject to change). If the work is selected, the artist will be required to pay the show processing & maintenance fee: $75 (USD) per work.

Installation pieces should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). Works mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Artists are responsible for shipment and related expenses for physical work. Special requirements for video/interactive art (e.g., exclusive projector use, more than two projectors/monitors) may incur additional fees. If selected, artists must pay a $75 (USD) processing and maintenance fee per work.
