About the Open Call

In the Nude is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative photographic processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.Terms of Entry: All entrants attest that the images submitted are their work, with no copyright infringement. All submissions must be original and completed by the artist’s hand. Submitting work created by or otherwise altered with artificial intelligence is strictly prohibited.Selection and Exhibition: The Curator, Director, and Juror(s) will select approximately 35 images for exhibition in The Chateau's Online Gallery (TCG). Submissions will be stored in the CRM "digital flat file" for one year for consideration in current and future exhibitions.Jurying Process: Jurors are a rotating assortment of past exhibitors, curators, editors, and members of various fields in the arts and culture sector. A "blind" jury process is used, with selection based solely on the image and its title. Image descriptions are optional but encouraged. Entrants will be notified by email of selections, usually 10 to 12 days after the submission closes.Selling Your Work (Optional): While TCG is a commercial gallery, participants may list their work as Not for Sale (NFS). However, participants are strongly encouraged to price their work. TCG will retain a 30% commission on any work sold through TCG and its agents.Awards: Curator’s Choice, Director’s Choice, and three Honorable Mentions will be awarded and featured in the online gallery. Curator’s Choice and Director’s Choice recipients are encouraged to submit three free entries into three future calls for entry. Honorable Mention recipients are encouraged to submit one free entry into one call for entry. Certificates of Participation are provided upon request.Copyright and Usage: You retain all rights to your work. You grant TCG the non-exclusive right to reproduce your image in the exhibition catalog, on our website, and for promotion on social media (with proper attribution). This agreement can be rescinded in writing at any time.Submission Fee: An entry fee of $20 is required to support advertising, promotional materials, and administrative costs. Merit-based and hardship fee waivers are offered to citizens in a state of war or unrest, those in a country with a low economic index, or individuals who qualify based on financial need. Requirements

How to Apply

Print dimensions should be listed in inches or centimeters. Fee waivers are available upon request via contact form or email for eligible individuals.
