The Chateau Gallery
Pharmacopeia is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. The call invites artists to explore the term 'Pharmacopeia,' delving into themes such as archives of substances, memories of addiction, recovery, relapse, mental disorder, fear, and the use of recreational substances in artistic practice. All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative photographic processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome. The exhibition will be held online from October 1st to November 1st, 2025, in The Chateau's Online Gallery (TCG).
Awards include Curator’s Choice, Director’s Choice, and three Honorable Mentions, all featured in the online gallery. Curator’s Choice and Director’s Choice recipients receive three free entries to future calls, while Honorable Mentions receive one free entry. Certificates of Participation are available upon request. Participants can price their work for sale through TCG, with the gallery retaining a 30% commission on any work sold.
Open to international photographers ages 18 and older. All submitted images must be original work by the artist, with no copyright infringement, and must not be created or altered with artificial intelligence. Artists may submit up to three images per entry and may submit multiple entries. There are no size or production year restrictions for images. Print dimensions must be listed in inches or centimeters. Submissions are not accepted from citizens residing in sanctioned countries: Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Belarus, Russia.
Submit entries through the official entry form, adhering to image naming conventions (firstname_lastname_title _-_ 01.jpeg) and file specifications (minimum 1200 pixels longest side, 500kb minimum size). A $20 entry fee is required, with merit-based and hardship fee waivers available upon request. Up to three images per entry are allowed, and multiple entries are permitted.
