La Nature Festival
In 2026, La Nature Festival moves away from annual thematisation to focus on its core artistic direction defined by attentive listening to the site and the living world. The festival prioritizes continuity, depth, and coherence, valuing abstraction, immersion, and the principle of 'less is more.' Projects should be contemporary, open-ended, and integrated into the natural environment without heavy technological display. The open call is specifically for artistic performances (dance, happenings, body art, theater) and installations (contemplative, conceptual, or interactive). Musical projects are not accepted through this specific call. The festival also offers a long-term opportunity for artworks to remain on-site for 3 months to several years as part of an art trail, provided they require no electricity or regular maintenance and can withstand harsh weather conditions.
Participation in the festival (June 18-21, 2026), project budget (payment balance on July 6, 2026), and potential inclusion in a long-term art trail in the Ardenne countryside.
Open to artistic performances and installations only. Proposals must be realistic in budget, demonstrate relevance to the festival's forest setting, and offer immersive or interactive qualities. Works must be suitable for outdoor display and Belgian weather conditions. Performance interventions can be on or off stage but cannot be housed inside a building. Installations should be contemplative/conceptual/interactive and must also be outdoor-suitable.
Applications must be submitted exclusively via the provided Google Form: https://forms.gle/1VdkB9phgUEXRpMW9. Applications in other formats will not be accepted.
