About the Open Call

For the tenth anniversary of the Web Residencies program, !Mediengruppe Bitnik invites artists to create projects that hijack, glitch, and disrupt existing digital systems. This call explores alternative structures to monopolized and weaponized digital platforms, seeking proposals that use strategies like Situationist détournement to map routes through current technological constraints.

What is Offered

Six web residencies, each with a duration of four weeks, starting September 22, 2026.
